Nicole Najmah Abraham, also known as "Najmah53," is a multifaceted artist and inspirational figure hailing from Brooklyn, New York. She boasts a rich background as a spoken word artist, public speaker, writer, radio personality, and entrepreneur.

Najmah's artistic journey traces back to her early years when, at the tender age of eight, she began crafting short poems. Her fascination with hip-hop culture prompted her to delve into rapping and graffiti by the age of 11. Even during her family's relocation to South Carolina, she continued honing her artistic and lyrical skills. By the time she reached high school, Najmah was making her mark, performing in talent shows, on local radio stations, and in clubs.

At 17, upon returning to New York, Najmah53 was offered a recording deal and an opportunity to become the hip-hop member of an R&B female group touring Europe. However, this offer came with expectations to conform to certain image standards, including hair weaves, fake nails, short skirts, and a sexualized persona. In a display of unwavering integrity, she declined the deal, refusing to compromise her true self. This marked the turning point in her journey, leading her away from the mainstream hip-hop industry.

Following her conversion to Islam, Najmah53 redirected her creative energies toward writing more positive and conscious verses and poetry. Her thought-provoking pieces addressed complex topics such as racism, sexism, female body image, bullying, and Islamophobia. Invitations to colleges soon followed, where she shared her story and powerful compositions on stage. Notable figures she has graced the stage with include Abiodun Oyewole, a legendary founding member of The Last Poets, as well as HBO Def Poetry's Mos Def (Yasiin Bey), Amir Sulaiman, Shanelle Gabriel, and Black Women Rock's Jessica Care Moore.

Najmah embarked on her professional performance journey in 2012, releasing her debut CD, "Put The Stars into Alignment 1.2," in February of that same year. Her sophomore project, an EP titled "Tarantula," further demonstrated her artistic evolution. From 2011 to 2018, Najmah53 served as a radio personality for the national internet channel AM 360. She hosted her own show, "SPOTLIGHT Hosted by Najmah53," where she engaged in discussions on spiritual topics and interviewed prominent figures from across the United States and abroad.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Najmah53's influence extends into the realms of motivation, mentorship, and teaching. She travels nationally, not only as a Motivational Speaker but also as a Mentor and Teaching Artist. Her unique journey and powerful messages of inspiration have motivated countless individuals. Additionally, she mentors young girls and teens aged 12-18, conducting empowering workshops on art, creative writing, self-esteem, business, and girl empowerment.

Najmah53 is a staunch social activist and humanitarian, driven by a passionate commitment to leveraging her talents to spread powerful messages and effect positive change within her community. Her dedication makes her a vocal and indispensable figure, dedicated to fostering positive transformations through her art and activism.

"Najmah's presentation to our class was fascinating. She's so incredibly inspirational and insightful, and I truly feel more aware of how our culture shapes perceptions after listening to her speak. I have had a few Muslim friends, but have never sat down to learn more about their faith. " -Gretchen C.
